Summary of Problem.
a. SOF Message UH-60-01-09 (TB 1-1520-237-20-233) was issued on 8 June 2001 requiring an in-
spection of the main rotor expandable pins, P/N 70103-102/103. That SOF removed all main rotor blade ex-
pandable pins that had a material non-conformance from service and stock and mandated a one time inspec-
tion of all other pins for cracks and corrosion. As a result of the SOF, a rework program has been initiated
to replace the discrepant part on these APEX manufactured pins.
Manpower/downtime and funding impacts see para 12.
The purpose of this TB is to:
(1) Provide specific serial number information to allow identification of serviceable pins manufac-
tured by APEX manufacturing.
(2) Provide disposition guidance for non-conforming pins.
End Items to be inspected . All H-60 series aircraft.
