5.4 AIR INLET ASSEMBLY AND BLEED-AIR EXHAUST SLOTS (ET).
5.4.1
Description (Figure 5-1. Index No. 4). The aluminum air inlet assembly is at the front of the engine
through which air is directed into the engine. The bleed air exhaust slots are in the forward inboard cone area.
5.4.2
Defects. This inspection is used to verify crack indications found visually on the air inlet and around the
bleed air exhaust slots. No cracks are allowed.
5.4.3
Primary Method. Eddy Current.
