GENERALThis chapter contains maintenance procedures that are the responsibility of the aviation unit maintenance technicianas authorized by the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) and Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SMR) codeditems in the Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL). The maintenance procedures in this chapter are preparedin the form of summary and detailed procedures.2. MAINTENANCE OPERATIONSThese instructions provide the proper technique and detailed procedures required to perform the maintenanceoperations. Each maintenance operation provides step-by-step instructions in the order in which the work is mostlogically accomplished. Any unusual or critical steps are covered in detail.3. TOOLS AND TEST EQUIPMENT LISTTools and test equipment required for maintenance of AVA are identified in the MAC work package.
